Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse as well as Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American singer and actress. She is the daughter of a Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen found her talent in entertainment at an early stage of her life. She was just 12 when she appeared at her first audition, and was able to win an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent when she was 13, and she got her first role in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. At this time, she also began classes in acting. Bell was credited as a character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she took home the part of Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell relocated in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she learned about musical theatre. Bell left the university in 2001, and began taking on the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her first credit debut playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. However the film cut her character from the film and she was not even on the screen credits. Bell appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
