She is also popular for her roles in movies such as "Private Parts," "Deep Impact', "True Criminal as well as '1408'. McCormack was born to an ice-cream parlor owner and a clinical psychologist. Her family has no relationship with entertainment. She was a student at Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the separation from her parents around the year 1990, went on to attend Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, eventually graduating with a bachelor's degree in comparative arts. The career of the actress started at a young age of 12 when she performed in a stage production the Christmas musical "Amahl and the Night Visitor'.
