Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is the American stage and screen actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress due to her roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film and television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream movies. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also a number of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. Her career began as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. She has performed in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her work in Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
